FULLY EQUIPPED DOUBLE ROOM

Night Birds of Prey

It is a room on the first floor with a view of the Muela, the bathroom is ten steps away and has two beds, furniture with shelves, bedside tables, bedside lamp and general light.
This room speaks of the nocturnal birds of prey that inhabit our forests and mountains, it also has an astronomical night show with star lights that are dimly illuminated to accompany us as we fall asleep.
It is a room that tells the story of Currupipi, a little owl that lived in this part of the house when it was not yet modified and that was raised with grasshoppers and insects to give him the opportunity to learn to hunt and develop when he was released to return to Africa.

PAINTINGS

In this room you will see illustrations of Currupipi, the scops owl that lived in this room. It is the smallest nocturnal bird of prey in Europe. He was given to us when he was just a little ball of down, he had fallen from his nest of more than 20 m high.

Currupipi grew up in two months in that room and learned to fly and to hunt grasshoppers that we brought him alive. It was a magical and very interesting process and a great responsibility. When he was big and strong, as big as an autillo can be, the size of a soda can. We took them to the Muela to release him. It was very exciting. I’m sure he has travelled to Africa and back many times.
