Terrace of the House of the Birds
The terrace of the House of the Birds is a unique place, with views that allow you to look out over the whole town. It is one of the spots in the House with the greatest ornithological interest. From the terrace, 63 different ornithological species have been counted.
In addition to the views, the terrace is an ideal space for dinners and meetings. You have a table and chair for them. The views invite you to explore the history of the village. We have also prepared a telescope to locate the vultures of La Muela, or, if you are lucky, to find an oriole in the grove of the village.

A spectacular insect
On the terrace of the House of the Birds I painted an insect that has always fascinated me, a praying mantis. These insects show a defensive attitude which consists of opening their wings and showing ocelli on their elytra which are very impressive. Despite their small size, they do not hesitate to offer this pose with the intention of protecting themselves, leaving an image that is surprising for its peculiarity.

This is an insect of the family Mantidae, it is carnivorous and can be either green or brown in colour and is always the same species. The males are smaller than the females and can be eaten by them during copulation, a common practice for these insects. Their clutches look like an alien spacecraft and are called oothecae.
