Some curiosities about these birds
The scientific name of this bird is Carduelis carduelis because it feeds on thistles, where it is perched on the mural of the Casa de los Pájaros. The goldfinch is a songbird of the fringilid family, with a yellow colour, combined with black on the wings and a red head. The difference between males and females is the intensity of this maroon colouring and the extent to which the scarlet mask is much longer in males than in females, which are less conspicuous. Goldfinches, also known as goldfinches, can be seen in flocks feeding together or near waterholes and ponds where they come to drink, they are really beautiful.

The goldfinch was the first work to be painted in the Birds House. It was a challenge because this work had never been painted in this size before, although it had been painted on canvas. Many people had doubts about the idea of painting large murals with local birds and flora. It came as a surprise to all the locals and visitors, who watched it unfold with great anticipation.
It was carried out with acrylic paints and acrylic markers and brushes. It is protected with varnish to avoid deterioration in terms of its exposure to the outside and against vandalism, it is one of the most photographed works. It is a work that had been done before on canvas in small size, it was the first painting I did on a mural. I had never painted like this before, so I am very fond of it.
